Have you every dreamed of singing the greatest classical music with a full professional orchestra? This may be your chance of a lifetime. We are undergoing a renewal and are actively seeking singers for the 2024/25 season.
The Handel Society is an auditioned choir and welcomes new members, soloists, and orchestra members. We are renewing our choir and very much welcome singers who have a basic ability to read music, have a good ear, a pleasant singing voice and are able to learn. In order to encourage those who love singing but otherwise might be concerned about an "audition" please consider contacting our Artistic Director via email thehandelsociety@gmail.com. Typically, interested singers are invited to attend one or two of our practices. You will be assigned to one of the four basic "voice" groups, Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass. It won't take long for our Artistic Director to determine if you are the right fit. He will let you know privately and discreetly.
Although the choir is auditioned, auditions can be intimidating. A love and passion for singing and a desire for learning is equally important to ability and talent, so all singers wishing to perform challenging major classical repertoire are encouraged to join. Just come to one of regular rehearsals and join in. Our Music Director will be able to tell if we are a good fit for you and will discreetly let you know.

The professional-level orchestra for each concert is augmented with young musicians who bring their passion, budding expertise, and technical skill to each and every performance. Not only are audiences treated to high-caliber musicianship, but young musicians gain performance experience in bringing some of the classical repertoire’s most demanding and most beloved works to life.
The Handel Society of Music supports the development and interest of young musicians in classical music. Children under 16 are admitted free to all concerts, which allows families to attend together and encourages a strong musical education in young children.
Serious young musicians are also encouraged to audition for the orchestra. The orchestra gives excellent rehearsal and performance experience for young musicians wishing to pursue an orchestral career. Contact Mr. Liang via the Contact Us section.
